Christmas Tablescape

Last month I was taking a stroll through Homesense and came across a collection of Churchill China in a holiday pattern at a steal of a deal. While we don't host Christmas dinner nor have a table that could fit a large group, I couldn't help but buy the 10-person set. I came home with an armload of dinner plates and salad plates (kind of wishing I got the bowls now...) to a very unimpressed husband (still find that word weird to use). I tried explaining to him that one day these "heirloom" pieces will be passed down to our children and their children and so on. But apparently I'm constantly complaining about our small apartment and our lack of storage. Having failed to convince him, I tucked them away, knowing full well that these would one day become Partridge/McCullough treasures - he just hadn't seen the potential yet. (I also went back and bought more plates.) But now he will because I've created a post with them and I'll force him to read this - ha! I will say though, we are hosting a 4-person dinner on Boxing Day and you better damn believe these babies are coming out. I think we'll be serving these festive cocktails along with it. Happy holidays!
