Living Room Inspiration

JDP Interiors

We moved into our new apartment at the beginning of the month and it's taken all my self control to not dive into every project I have in store for the place. I've learned from our home before that it's best to take your time with a space, live in it, see how you use it, and allow ideas to come together naturally. My plan is to tackle one room at a time, which alleviates the overwhelm and slows me down just a little. Our living room felt like the best place to start as I have a pretty clear idea on how I want it to come together and because we spend so much time there. We are lucky to have 10 foot ceilings in the living room, meaning lots of natural light and a little extra breathing room. I want this room to play into that, to be a calm, tranquil and relaxing space. Neutrals, wood tones, soft textures and bringing a little of the outdoors in is the name of the game here. While the following inspiration images are of *much* larger living rooms, they're helping me imagine the potential that our space can be.
